FIRST is a non-profit organization that was invented by Dean Kamen in 1989. It’s a competition created solely for the purpose to challenge the youth and make them more excited about math, science, engineering, and technology.

FIRST Robotics Competition is the larrgest program sponsored by
FIRST for students ages 14-18. FRC has received acknowledgement as the "varsity of the mind," and was designed to merge the thrills of sports with the concepts of science and technology.
The
FIRST Tech Challenge is designed to be more geographically accessible to students aged 14-18. In teams of 10 students or less, along with the assistance of coaches, mentors, and volunteers, real-world math and science skills are applied througout the entire process.
Every September,
FIRST releases a challenge that requires the brain power, creativity, and innovation of young students, ages 9 to 14, in order to successfully solve various missions.
